Every year Dell would host a select group of its most valued partners by inviting them on an unforgettable trip to Sardinia or Dubai. Covid had hit and the event needed to go online. OrangeDoor was invited to run a Virtual Reality experience for the top performers but we didn't think this was going to be enough of a shared experience so we came up with a new plan!
We turned the sterile environment of the web on its head and created a two-day series of virtual experiences that assaulted the five senses + one more; Inspiration - We invited the attendees to vote and choose from a whole raft of exciting ideas so they created their own, bespoke experience - They chose: Coffee Cupping, Yoga & Meditation, Building models with Wallace & Gromit, Mind-Bending session, Top Gear's The Stig Q&A, Cook-along with Rick Stein's School of Cookery, Wine Tasting, HipHop Comedians and a Live DJ set from Ibiza! - Professional MC David Meade hosted the two days for incredible energy - Fresh ingredients sourced and delivered locally
130 attendees from 11 countries received dried coffee, model-making clay, fresh ingredients, wine and gifts during the logistical nightmare of Covid! - Registrations and attendee-levels smashed previous years' numbers and pre and post event sales figures exceeded same QTRs on previous years - Average time spent at the event was 10hrs 19 minutes over the 2 days - Attendee rating of 4.8/5 - WINNER of the Diamond Award for 'Best pivot to Virtual for a client' at the World Exhibition Awards 2021
