THE JUICE is back...

...and in this and the next few episodes, we’re going to be squeezing out more insights and inspiration for you than ever before! We know it’s been a while since our last edition, but we are back on track and here to update you on everything that’s been going on at OrangeDoor, plus a few interesting, fascinating or fun observations from across the events industry and beyond.

BEING BETTER AT BETT

The first quarter of 2024 was a massive one for the whole team at OrangeDoor. Planning, preparation and progress! Dell wanted a stand that could play a key role in opening up its sales pipeline, driving brand and product awareness as well as maintaining its steadfast commitment to sustainability.

The interactive esports arena we put together, with live competitive tournaments using Alienware gaming kits was one of the most visited attractions of the entire show, even drawing more attendees than the show's formal esports zone.

A CUP FULL OF GOODNESS

OrangeDoor delivered an extraordinary stand for our client, ServiceNow at Hannover Messe - and we'll show you more in our next newsletter. However, in this edition, we wanted to showcase one small but brilliant activation we introduced at the show.

OrangeDoor teamed up with CUPFEE – makers of the ‘world’s first edible cup’ to offer all visitors to the stand an opportunity to both have a coffee and then eat the cup!

YES! EAT. THE. CUP. Hundreds of edible cups full of coffees and other refreshments were given out on the ServiceNow stand in the five days of the show. As a B-Corp, we really love initiatives like these – all the little things coming together to make a big difference.

STARTING AS WE MEAN TO GO ON

We’ve got some big ambitions and growth plans for the agency over the next two years, and we’ve laid the next solid foundations needed to achieve these with a number of fantastic new senior appointments over the last couple of months.

Andrew Winterburn has joined us as Chief Operating Officer to help steer the strategic and commercial direction of the agency. Kiran Nahal has been appointed as Head of Operations, with core responsibility for the day-to-day operational management and delivery. In her newly appointed role as ‘Fractional’ Business Development Director, Gemma Cutler-Colclough will spearhead the international expansion of the business.

Adela Paun has also joined as OrangeDoor’s new Marketing Manager and will work closely with the senior leadership team to ensure the seamless alignment of all new business and marketing initiatives. Finally, our wonderful Finance Director, Tanya Brittain who has been with us part time over the last few years has decided she loves us so much, she will now be joining us full time!

APRIL FOOLS' OR PENGUINS IN A POOL?

At OrangeDoor, we’ve built a reputation for having a bit of playfulness and fun around key dates in the calendar (check out the team dressing up and starring in their favourite Christmas movie from last year’s Christmas campaign).

We took this a step further last month on April Fools’ Day and announced the opening of our first international office in …. Antarctica!  Our Marketing Manager, Adela and Multi-media Designer, Phil, had a huge amount of fun producing the video.

Just to be clear, there are no ‘Penguins in a Pool’ in this video, we were just struggling to come up with something that rhymed with ‘April Fools’, so we used a little artistic licence. If you fancy a quick laugh click below.
