Brief

When Dell EMC’s OEM team were looking to give some of their customers a big thank you, they approached OrangeDoor to develop an exceptional day of learning and evening of celebration. Limited to just 16 registrations, attendees would learn about ‘The Art of the Possible’ from hand-picked speakers before being whisked off, with their partners, to one of the world’s best restaurants.

 

How we made it amazing

Heston Blumenthal’s The Fat Duck restaurant in Bray was put forward as our client’s first choice for the evening, however the daytime meeting was due to take place in Central London – quite a logistical challenge. OrangeDoor made the recommendation that a daytime venue nearer to the restaurant should be used, to avoid a long transfer in rush-hour traffic. OrangeDoor’s Venue Finding team contracted meeting space and accommodation at the prestigious Cliveden House Hotel in nearby Maidenhead, ensuring attendees had more time with their colleagues and partners to enjoy the day.

The creative treatment for this event was kept simple and stylish, and was redlined throughout the communications and across day and evening events, with The Fat Duck even adapting its menu to include a nod to the Dell EMC brand.

OrangeDoor managed the end-to-end logistics on the ground, ensuring each venue, staff and supporting transfers were ready to delight the VIP guests, maintaining an air of inimitable professionalism throughout.

Attendees were invited to bring a guest to this event, and during the daytime sessions, these guests were invited on a tour of Cliveden House, where they discovered the fascinating history of one of England’s most stunning and notorious hotels.

To celebrate the day, themed parting gift was sourced for all attendees - a  signed copy of Heston’s cookbook, exclusively available at The Fat Duck. OrangeDoor has organised for each copy to be shipped to  Heston’s residence in France in advance of the event, so the chef could sign each copy, giving Dell EMC’s guests a truly unique keepsake to remember their experience.
