NEW BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT MANAGER - Bromley, Kent

 

We are looking for someone to bring energy to, and take ownership of, our new business pipeline while working alongside the senior management team and existing development team. You will be self-motivated, happy to drive the programme and you will need to be assertive but friendly.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

Your daily responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Research and generate leads and following them up to introduce the agency
  • Research and qualify information - vet qualified prospects by identifying decision-makers, timelines, and budget potential and ask qualifying questions to identify the correct prospect contact
  • Attending networking events to elevate profile of the business
  • Making introductory calls and arranging meetings with prospects
  • Working towards an annual new business target
  • Secure project briefs and take ownership for finalising what needs to be written
  • Preparing creative and compelling proposals/documentation
  • Presenting at client pitches
  • Working with the team to come up with innovative and creative ideas
  • Grow existing accounts in to new fields
  • Maintain pipeline and lead generation
  • To develop strategic partnerships to drive long term growth
  • Manage client database

THE CANDIDATE

We are looking for someone who has:

  • A self-motivated and tenacious approach
  • An excellent professional telephone manner is essential
  • The ability to focus on being personable, rather than adopting a ‘hard sell’ approach
  • Must be able to multi-task, with strong organisational skills
  • Should be comfortable working for a relatively small and dynamic company and is a good team player
  • Additional language skills is advantageous
  • Competent with basic Microsoft packages

EVENT MANAGER - Bromley, Kent

 

The opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and experienced Event Manager to join our busy events team at OrangeDoor. We are looking for an individual who can deliver events whilst managing the client budget. You must have several years’ experience
of working within the agency sector.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

Your role would be extremely hands on and busy. We host many events around the world, which gives you the fantastic opportunity to travel to many locations both abroad and in the UK.

Your daily responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Managing the logistical requirements of all event projects under your remit, whilst overseeing the client relationship and budget control
  • Provide onsite management of meetings and events to include overseeing of suppliers
  • Research and recommend appropriate venues in line with briefs for events
  • Producing (and winning!) pitches, proposals and bids
  • Nurture and grow new business opportunities

THE CANDIDATE

We are looking for someone who:

  • Can be calm under pressure
  • Is self-motivated and driven
  • Is confident and has a positive attitude – this is a client facing role that needs a cheerful, enthusiastic and professional person
  • Has a creative and innovative approach
  • Has broad events industry knowledge
  • Has experience in:
    • delivering conferences, product launches, roadshows, incentives and experiential activities up to 300 pax
    • account handling and client relationships
    • managing multiple events at any one time with the ability to multi-task and prioritise based upon event requirements

QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS

  • Agency experience essential
  • Minimum of 3 years experience in event management
  • Fully literate in Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point and Outlook
  • A second language is advantageous
  • Solid financial and budgeting skills
  • Full passport
