Two years in the job by our MD, Dina Green

s I reach my 2nd anniversary at OrangeDoor there is only one word to describe the journey I have been on and that is a ‘rollercoaster’.

When I joined the company in January 2020 I had big plans and expectations for growth and development, as well as excitement at the prospect of a formidable partnership with our CEO Elizabeth - we were going to be (and have still proven to be), the dream team! But as we all know now, just a couple of months in everything would change and our worlds were turned upside down and become a little more challenging as the pandemic brought our world to a standstill.  

Looking back, I am so proud of the fact that, despiteCovid, as a business we still managed to achieve so much. Just the other day I came across the plan I wrote in my first few weeks in my role at OrangeDoor, and I was thrilled to see just how many of the things we have still been able to execute.   

The plan, which included a complete review and analysis of the business, also focussed on a refresh of our purpose, vision and mission, which is at the core of everything we do at OrangeDoor. Incredibly, despite everything happening in the world, I am thrilled to say that we have been able to achieve this, whilst at the same time revitalising and restructuring the agency, moving it forward both in its infrastructure and its culture. We have invested in new software and our marketing department, both of which have helped us grow the business and create better results for our clients. But most importantly we have invested in our people, not only the existing team, but some brilliant new hires, including some real superstar talent, with more to come over the next year.  

Over the last two years we have gone through a transformation, allowing the process and structure of our company to change, but allowing the culture – ‘people before profit’ to remain at the core of what we do. We are and will remain always a family orientated business.    

Despite the challenges we have faced in this industry, including an incredible pivot to virtual by our talented team, I am so proud of what we have achieved, and it’s certainly laid the foundation and infrastructure for growth as we head into the next financial year. I can’t wait to see what OrangeDoor can do in 2022!
